Christmas at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral

We hope you will join us for one of our five Christmas services this year! You are assured of a warm welcome, and beautiful music.

Christmas Eve at 3:00 pm – Christmas Pageant and Family Eucharist  Music sung by the Cathedral Choristers including “What sweeter music” by John Leavitt, and “Unto us is born a Son” arranged by David Willcocks.

Christmas Eve at 5:00 pm – Christmas Pageant and Family Eucharist Music sung by the Celebration Choir including “The Jesus Gift” by Gilbert Martin, “Good Christian Friends, Rejoice” arranged by Marty Haugen, and “A Spotless Rose” by Bryan L. Greer

Christmas Eve at 8:00 pm – Solemn High Mass  Music by the Cathedral Choir including “Unto us is born a Son” by David Willcocks, and the “Missa Sancta Maria Magdalena” by Healey Willan.

Christmas Eve at 10:30 pm – “Unto us is born a SonA Festive Christmas Concert by the Cathedral Choir with music including “Ave Maria” by Sergei Rachmaninoff, “Dormi Jesu” by John Rutter, “Unto us is born a Son” arranged by David Willcocks, “A Tender Shoot” by Otto Goldschmidt, and “Say, where is he, born the King” by Felix Mendelssohn, plus organ music by Marcel Dupre and Leo Sowerby.

Christmas Eve at 11:00 pm – Festive Holy Eucharist (“Midnight Mass”  Music by the Cathedral Choir including the “Missa ad Praesepe” (Mass at the Crib) by George Malcolm, and “O Magnum Mysterium” by William Byrd.

Christmas Day at 10:00 am – Christmas Morning EucharistSimple service with organist Barry Moenter, cantor Jay Leach, and the Cathedral Handbell Ringers. Music will include “A Stable Lamp is Lighted” by David Hurd.

Trinity Cathedral is located at 2620 Capitol Avenue at 27th Street in mid-town Sacramento. Free parking will be available in the Sutter Community Garage at 27th and N Streets, entering from the 27th Street side.
