Luke 21:27, 28
Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud” with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, stand up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.

I wonder at Christ’s second coming what he will expect of us. He knows how much we give way to pettiness, greed, and meanness of spirit. Coming from God and becoming a man, he had imposed on him our very condition. St. Paul describes it as though he became a slave by having assumed a human form. (Phil 2:7) He knows how we struggle with our ego-self when we deal with each other, because he on occasion similarly struggled— though he won out while we do not.
In this verse of the second coming we are instructed to stand up and raise our heads. This is to show the price of our redemption as marked on our shaven heads. A person sold into slavery could be redeemed only by payment of such a sum. Christ on Calvary paid to redeem us from our sins by paying with his blood. This time Christ will pay the price for our freedom and mark us as his own forever.
