In addition to our regular service opportunities, Trinity Cathedral is offering these special projects for Advent:
Alternative Gift Fair – local artists and nonprofits will be selling simple, earth friendly gifts after serveral Saturday and Sunday services.
Thursday night Advent-ure in giving – intergeneration dinners and activities on Thursday nights that will have folks actively serving those in need.
Saturday/Sunday in gatherings– we will be collecting different donations on different weekends.
Alternative Gift Christmas Fair Sunday December 7, 8:30am – 1pm
Saturday December 13, 6pm – 7:30pm
Trinity Cathedral will host an Alternative Christmas Fair offering parishioners the opportunity to purchase Christmas gifts and support the work of a social service agency at the same time. The Fair will be held in the Great Hall. Jewelry, craft items, applesauce, jam, and coffee are just some of the things that will be available for purchase. A few of the vendors are: TREE, St. John’s Shelter, Interfaith Service Bureau.
Thursday Night at the Cathedral Presents a church-wide Advent-ure in Giving. Advent is a season for the people and friends of Trinity Cathedral to prepare their hearts for receiving anew the Christ Child at Christmas. In all the holiday commotion we will gather these three Advent Thursdays in a new church-wide event to share in simple acts of generosity. Advent marks a new beginning in the church’s life and worship. As we listen for angelic music, watch for a glistening star, and search for the manger we remember those whose needs are greater than our own.
Join us for one or all of the three Thursday Nights at the Cathedral this Advent. Adults, teens and children are all welcome to participate.
